Innis & Gunn Original: Review

Oak Aged Beer

Innis & Gunn
Edinburgh, Scotland
6.6% abv
1pt 9.4oz bottle
$7.50
Aged for 77 days prior to bottling

Appearance: rich amber body with a white creamy looking head

Aroma: while the nose is light overall there are some interesting notes.  Lightly toasted malts, toffee, nutty, a hint of vanilla.

Flavors and Mouthfeel: the taste follows the nose.  Tasty sweet malts with a nutty note mingled with some toffee and vanilla.  I am not picking up any distinct oak

To the Point: On the sweet side for me.  It was hard to drink this big bottle.
