Samuel Adams Summer Ale: Review

Wheat Ale Brewed With Lemon Peel and Grains of Paradise

Appearance: hazy golden wheat with a nice white head.  Make sure to get all that wheat off the bottom of the bottle.

Nose: some wheat, orange rind, lemon peel,

Flavors: citrus rind, dusty wheat, earthy

Mouthfeel: moderate bittering, low carbonation, lingering dusty earth and grains

To the Point: an okay summer ale.  To me it just doesn’t seem that refreshing.  I don’t think I’ll be looking to fill the cooler with this during the summer.

It should be good to pair with white fish or shellfish.
