DAB – Dortmunder: Review

Actien-Brauerei Original

Dortmunder Actien-Brauerei AG
Dortmund, Germany

Appearance: bright golden body with a weak white head and no lacing left behind

Aroma: a obvious German yeast smell and earthy grains

Flavors and Mouthfeel: to me it has that old German yeast flavor; it is not metallic and it is not skunky yet, but it is getting there.   Some uninteresting grains and mineral water.  The slight dirty yeast aftertaste is not refreshing here on this hot summer day.

To the Point: Maybe a fresh one may be good but today on this bottle I have to say ‘skip it’.  There are too many good beers out there to waste your time on this one.  I am watering the grass with the remainder of this beer.
