Beer Tasting: Bruegel Amber Ale

Bruegel Amber Ale

This is a very pleasing beer if you are thinking about knocking down a few. It has a 5.2% abv with a nice bitterness that is not in your face and the Dutch barley gives the ale a nice flavor. This is a refreshing beer to the palate.

If, you are going to try to get a friend to move up to a “better beer” this would be a good introductory beer to “better beer.”

If, you are going to be playing some yard games or barbequing this would be a very good selection.
If, you are going to be playing indoor games, darts, air hockey, cards, this would be a very good selection.

For pairing up with cigars this will have a great range. The strength factor won’t be an issue. While this ale is a 3 to me it is not a complex beer in its flavor profile. There is not a strong hoppy bitterness or a variety of malty characteristics to contend with. So, this beer will not interfere with any mild or strong flavors from your cigar. And, with your fuller bodied cigar this ale will refresh your palate and leave you wanting more.
Grab yourself any stogie and match it up with this nice Belgian Amber Ale and enjoy yourself – I know I will be heading off to the horseshoe pits with this beer.
